Resumo: | This text focuses on addressing the concepts of child and childhood from the work of Walter Benjamin. It starts from the understanding of the concept of children as a social and historical subject, producer and produced in culture. It seeks to underline the child as a potent, unique subject, creator of culture, collector, tracker, inventive and transforming, thus contributing to the construction of another look at children and childhood. The writing is organized in three parts. Initially, biographical notes of Walter Benjamin are presented, highlighting childhood and children in his work. In the second moment, it is proposed to articulate the concepts of experience and narrative and the possibilities of narrating the child and his childhood in education. It concludes by pointing out considerations that seek in the aforementioned author's writings, highlighting the child and its power, as well as the possibilities of building other narratives of being a child, being and living life in educational institutions. |
