Resumo: Observing the current scenario of Internet users and e-commerce, which has been used by many companies, this study aims to identify innovations through e-commerce processes facing the covid-19 pandemic. The focus of this study is japanese restaurants São Paulo city. In this research, a descriptive qualitative approach has been applied and five traditional Japanese establishments were interviewed. The data was interpreted, enabling a comparison between theoretical and practice basis. Considering the presented theory, data analysis was carried out pointing the positive and negative aspects related to the covid-19 pandemic and how it influenced the innovation strategies in the e-commerce domain. Finally, the conclusion points out e-commerce as the main tool when it comes to helping companies to remain active during this moment of crisis and, also, that restaurants intend to carry on adopting this business model.

Foi abordado um estudo qualitativo descritivo, com realizações de entrevistas junto a cinco estabelecimentos japoneses tradicionais. Os dados foram interpretados para que fosse possível comparar a base teórica com a prática. Diante da teoria apresentada, foi feita a análise de dados dos pontos positivos e negativos relacionados à pandemia do covid-19 e como isso influenciou nas estratégias de inovação na área de e-commerce.
