A STUDY ON ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING SCALES VALIDATION IN BRAZIL

Resumo: Organizational Learning has been increasingly studied by researchers, once it can build a competitive advantage for an organization and also increase development of knowledge and technology, contributing to organizational inovativeness. However, this construct has a lot of facets, both in its theoretical foundations and its scales for measurement. It's hard to find a broadly accepted scale because researchers in this area usually prefer to design a new scale based on a combination of available scales. Since organizational learning theory has to be consolidated, the goal of this study is identifying the most adopted scale in international literature and analyzing validation of quantitative studies in Brazil. After the analysis, it was possible to realize that, among the six articles that were found, each study validates a different scale. Some suggestions are given to improve the process of scale validation, in order to stimulate the development of more valid and reliable measures of organizational learning.

Some suggestions are given to improve the process of scale validation, in order to stimulate the development of more valid and reliable measures of organizational learning.A aprendizagem organizacional tem sido um tema cada vez mais explorado entre os pesquisadores, uma vez que através dela é possí­vel construir vantagem competitiva e desenvolver de forma mais eficaz o conhecimento e a tecnologia na organização, contribuindo para a inovatividade organizacional. No entanto, a aprendizagem organizacional ainda é um tema muito heterogêneo, tanto em suas fundamentações teóricas quanto em suas propostas de mensuração. Existe dificuldade em encontrar uma escala amplamente aceita e utilizada, já que os autores da área muitas vezes optam por criar seus próprios instrumentos a partir de uma combinação de diversas escalas já existentes. Visto que há a necessidade da pesquisa sobre aprendizagem organizacional se consolidar, o objetivo do presente artigo é identificar a escala de aprendizagem organizacional mais utilizada na literatura internacional e analisar os estudos de validação de escalas no contexto nacional. A partir desta análise, percebe-se que os estudos de validação repetem o identificado na literatura internacional: seis escalas diferentes são validadas nos seis estudos.
