Taubaté, 2020.Resumo: Entre os impactos da urbanização desordenada está o aumento da frequência e magnitude das inundações, gerando consequências ambientais e econômicas às cidades, além de colocar em risco a vida da população. A determinação de cotas de inundação é uma das formas de antecipar a ocorrência de enchentes de minimizar seus impactos. O Riacho Bacuri é um dos riachos que cortam a cidade de Imperatriz (MA) que apresenta maior impacto ambiental, social e econômico nos períodos de chuvas intensas, ocasionando grande transtorno à população devido ao seu transbordamento, causando inundações em vários pontos da cidade. Diante disso, o presente estudo objetivou verificar o comportamento de cota e vazão do Riacho Bacuri, Imperatriz (MA) por meio do cálculo das curvas cota-volume, determinando a cota de enchente da bacia. Com isso, estimou-se o escoamento superficial por meio do método curva número do Nature Resources Conservation Service - USDA; analisou-se quais bacias mais contribuem para a ocorrência de enchentes em Imperatriz-MA. O método adotado para obtenção da capacidade de retenção e de vazão foi o I-PAI-WU. Para obtenção da curva cota-volume, adotou-se o procedimento do Departamento de Água e Energia Elétrica do Estado de São Paulo (DAEE-SP). Os resultados apontam que, as bacias que possuem maior coeficiente de escoamento superficial (C) são as bacias Central e a Bacuri, com C = 1 e C = 0,830, respectivamente. Considerando que a bacia bacuri possui uma área de 14,68 km², ela é a que mais contribui para a ocorrência de enchentes e inundações no município. A bacia Bacuri é um afluente da bacia do Rio Tocantins, e sua área apresenta os solos do tipo Neossolo e Luvissolo, caracterizados por baixa capacidade de infiltração de água e ocupados, predominantemente, por infraestrutura urbana, o que corrobora o alto valor de coeficiente de escoamento superficial encontrado. A partir da curva cota volume, e da precipitação para um período de retorno de 100 anos, que o volume de inundação da bacia Bacuri equivale a 861.661,77 m³, atingindo a cota de inundação em 104,55 metros, ocasionando vários problemas a população e necessitando da ação da defesa civil. A partir desses resultados, recomenda-se a adoção de políticas para o de conservação e de congelamento de áreas, na bacia do Bacuri e nas demais bacias do município.Abstract: Among the impacts of disorderly urbanization is the increase in the frequency and magnitude of floods, generating environmental and economic consequences for cities, in addition to putting the lives of the population at risk. The determination of flood quotas is one of the ways of anticipating the occurrence of floods and minimizing their impacts. Bacuri Creek is one of the streams that cross the city of Imperatriz (MA) that has the greatest environmental, social and economic impact in periods of heavy rains, causing great inconvenience to the population due to its overflow, causing floods in several parts of the city. Therefore, the present study aimed to verify the behavior of water level and flow of Riacho Bacuri, Imperatriz (MA) through the calculation of levelvolume curves, determining the flood level of the basin. With this, the surface runoff was estimated using the number curve method of the Nature Resources Conservation Service - USDA; it was analyzed which basins most contribute to the occurrence of floods in Imperatriz-MA. The method adopted to obtain the retention and flow capacity was the I-PAI-WU. To obtain the volume-level curve, the procedure of the Department of Water and Electric Energy of the State of São Paulo (DAEE-SP) was adopted. The results indicate that the basins that have the highest coefficient of surface runoff (C) are the Central and Bacuri basins, with C = 1 and C = 0.830, respectively. Considering that the bacuri basin has an area of 14.68 km², it is the one that most contributes to the occurrence of floods in the municipality. The Bacuri basin is a tributary of the Tocantins River basin, and its area has Neosol and Luvissolo soils, characterized by low water infiltration capacity and predominantly occupied by urban infrastructure, which corroborates the high value of the coefficient of surface runoff found. From the level-volume curve, and the precipitation for a return period of 100 years, the flood volume of the Bacuri basin is equivalent to 861,661.77 m³, reaching the flood level at 104.55 meters, causing several problems to population and requiring civil defense action.
