ANALYSIS OF INDICATORS OF VISUAL QUALITY AS ONE STAGE IN THE CHARACTERIZATION OF TOURISM LANDSCAPES: AN APPLICATION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE DISTRICT OF PORTO BELO-SC

Resumo: The landscape is considered, in its relationship with tourism, as a substantial element for the development of this activity, whether as a factor which motivates demand, or as a category of study in the academic field. Based on this observation, and with the aim of providing a planning resource for tourism and environmental qualification, this work presents the results of a study carried out in the administrative district of the Porto Belo-SC, as part of its stage of identifying the indicators of visual quality of the landscape, using an assessment methodology which is classified as being independent of the users, indirect, and broken down by components. The quality assessment indicators used in this methodology were diversity, naturalness, uniqueness and the visual damages of the landscape. The results obtained demonstrate that the level of quality was generally average or high, and that visual diversity is the main characteristic of the landscape of Porto Belo, demonstrating the principal unique features and visual landmarks responsible for this level of quality. A partir de esa constatación y visando subsidiar el proceso de planificación para la calificación turística y ambiental, el presente trabajo presenta el resultado de una investigación desarrollada en el distrito-sede del municipio de Porto Belo-SC, en su etapa de identificación de los indicadores de cualidad visual del paisaje, utilizándose de una metodología de evaluación clasificada como independiente de los usuarios, indirecta y por componentes, cuyos indicadores de evaluación de la cualidad fueron la diversidad, la naturalidad, la singularidad y los detractores visuales del paisaje. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que ha predominado el nivel de cualidad media-superior y que la diversidad visual es la principal característica del paisaje de Porto Belo, evidenciando aún las principales singularidades y detractores visuales responsables por este nivel de cualidad. A partir dessa constatação e visando subsidiar o processo de planejamento para a qualificação turística e ambiental, o presente trabalho apresenta o resultado de uma pesquisa desenvolvida no distrito-sede do município de Porto Belo-SC, em sua etapa de identificação dos indicadores de qualidade visual da paisagem, utilizando-se de uma metodologia de avaliação classificada como independente dos usuários, indireta e por componentes, cujos indicadores de avaliação da qualidade foram a diversidade, a naturalidade, a singularidade e os detratores visuais da paisagem. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que predominou o nível de qualidade média-superior e que a diversidade visual é a principal característica da paisagem de Porto Belo, evidenciando, ainda, as principais singularidades e detratores visuais responsáveis por este nível de qualidade.
