Economic development, democracy and criticism to the ideological-structural foundations of capitalism: an analysis through human rights and the communist hypothesis of Alain Badiou

Resumo: Through a deductive methodology, the present article analyzes the ideological-structural foundations of capitalism in relation to democracy and human rights. For this, global capitalism and democracy are analyzed in comparison with human rights, specifically in the perspective of Thomas Piketty. Next, the link between human rights and the "communist hypothesis" of Alain Badiou, with subchapters, is discussed. Then a brief analysis is made of Badiou's main criticism of human rights, in order to conclude this investigation by the need to foment ruptures in the capitalist system that lead to a promotion of human rights within the reach of the human dignity to all.

Para isso, estuda-se o capitalismo e a democracia em cotejo com os direitos humanos sobre o enfoque da teoria de Thomas Piketty. Em seguida, aborda-se o vínculo dos direitos humanos com a “hipótese comunista” de Alain Badiou, com subcapítulos.
