EBTT teaching in the early years of elementary education: a proposal for in-service training

This paper seeks to analyse the discourse of teachers in the career of Basic, Technical and Technological Education (EBTT) from Pedro II School, who work at the Department for Early Years of Elementary School in relation to the challenges of a new career. Based on discussions on teacher professionalization, in-service training and work as an educational principle, we sought to understand the career, and the new opportunities it brings for teachers. As the research is qualitative and interventionist, it was expected that a teacher’s training course contributed for the change of the reality of the teachers’ professional performance. The analysis of the generated data was conducted under the principles of the Dialogical Analysis of Discourse (DAA). In the analysis of the results, it was possible to verify that the course allowed the teachers to get to know or to better understand concepts from the ​​Professional and Technological Education field, contributing to the construction of a reflective posture of these participants in relation to their own professional practice.
