The fixed partial dentures are the ones that require an interaction between the expertise of their own periodontal prothesis. The quality of periodontal support as much protection should be carefully analyzed in the planning phase for the longevity of the work can be achieved. Thereby biological and mechanical factors must be considered ir order to have a prothesis with a proper function and a favorabe aesthetics. In above areas, these questions take on greather proporcion. Especially in patients who have a high line smile, by these present a type of smile gums. Many periodontical surgical maneuvers can be use to improve the prognosis of the prothesis and thus can meet the expectations of patients. The use of provisional quality helps to preview the work and after can direct the need for periodontical surgical maneuvers to have better auxiliary results. Periodontal care during the subsequent periodic controls may also be required to keep the prothesis stable and functional as long as possible. This study aims trhought a literature review to assist the clinician to follow a treatment protocal that needs to periodontics before, during and after manufacture of fixed partial dentures are met
