Respostas bioquímicas e fisiológicas de plantas jovens de cana-de-açúcar sob diferentes concentrações de NaCl no solo

Resumo: In the present study was evaluated two cultivars of sugarcane under salt stress. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse with temperature and relative humidity average of 30.2 ± 1 ° C and 40.7 ± 1%. The experimental design was completely randomized in a factorial 2 x 4, represented by the cultivars SP81-3250 and IAC87-3396 and salt concentrations of 0, 200, 400 and 800 mg dm-3 NaCl. The study was evaluated 15 and 30 days after application of the saline treatments. We evaluated foliar concentrations of sodium and potassium, predawn leaf water potential, relative water content, proline and glycine betaine concentration, enzymatic activity of superoxide dismutase, catalase and peroxidase ascorbate, malondialdehyde concentration, electrolyte leakage, chlorophyll a and b concentration, the maximum photochemical efficiency of photosystem II and the profile of secondary metabolites based on metabolomics techniques. Saline treatments caused an increase in leaf sodium content in cultivars and both days of evaluation, while the potassium had a mild reduction. On the other hand, predawn leaf water potential and relative water content were reduced in both cultivars and evaluation days with increasing severity of salt stress. There was an increase in the concentration of proline and glycine betaine. This increase was more evident in cultivar IAC87-3396 in both days of evaluation. Similarly, enzymes ascorbate peroxidase and catalase had an increase in their activities, particularly in cultivar IAC87-3396 in the 30th day. This cultivar of sugarcane had malondialdehyde concentration and electrolytes leakage higher compared to cv. SP81-3250 in both days of evaluation. Salt stress reduced the concentration of both chlorophyllian pigments with no pronounced differences among cultivars in two days evaluated. O delineamento experimental adotado foi o inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 2 x 4, representado pelas cultivares SP81-3250 e IAC87-3396 e concentrações salinas de 0, 200, 400 e 800 mg dm-3 de NaCl, com avaliações aos 15 e 30 dias após a aplicação dos tratamentos salinos. Foram avaliados os teores foliares de sódio e potássio, o potencial de água de antemanhã, o conteúdo relativo de água, a concentração de prolina e glicina betaína, a atividade enzimática da dismutase do superóxido, ascorbato peroxidase e catalase, a concentração de aldeído malônico, o extravasamento de eletrólitos, a concentração de clorofilas a e b, a eficiência fotoquímica máxima do fotossistema II e o perfil de metabólitos secundários baseado em técnicas metabolômicas. Os tratamentos salinos promoveram aumento do teor foliar de sódio nas cultivares estudadas, com maior teor no 30° dia de avaliação, enquanto que os teores de potássio apresentaram leve redução. Por outro lado, o potencial de água de antemanhã e o conteúdo relativo de água foram reduzidos em ambas as cultivares e dias de avaliação com o aumento da severidade do estresse salino. Foi observado aumento na concentração de prolina e glicina betaína, sendo este incremento mais evidente na cv. IAC87-3396 em ambos os dias de avaliação. Similarmente, as enzimas ascorbato peroxidase e catalase tiveram aumento em suas atividades, em particular na cv. IAC87-3396 no 30° dia. Inclusive, esta cultivar de cana-de-açúcar apresentou maior concentração de aldeído malônico e extravasamento de eletrólitos em comparação a cv. SP81-3250 em ambos os dias de avaliação. Verificou-se que o estresse salino reduziu a concentração de ambos os pigmentos clorofilianos sem diferenças pronunciadas entre as cultivares nos dois dias.
