Legislação ambiental aplicada ao ensino de geografia

Resumo: | This paper aims to apply some terms related to Environmental Legislation to the students from first grade of the senior public High School Cleophânia Galvão da Silva in the city of Assis, São Paulo State, using the environmental situation related to the PPA (Permanent Preservation Areas) urban areas located around the school. From this purpose, we worked with the headwater of the Fortuninha stream located in the City Park ―João Domingos Coelho‖. Using resources such as topographic maps and satellite images, it was conducted a prior survey of information related to the place with the students, slideshow about the history of occupation of the surrounding and the environmental legislation, as well as lectures with the Enviromental Policy and the Park's employees. The students made a field visit to study the headwater where they could see that the biggest impact is not due exclusively to this location, but due the surrounding anthropic action, which affects a large amount of rainwater originated from several nearby neighborhoods, and consequently, large amounts of garbage in the headwaters area. Returning to the classroom, the students could relate the information previously worked to the field observations. Therefore, as a final result, the students have made panels requiring intervention measures from the responsible offices, and these panels were presented to the Municipal Office Environment and forwarded to display at the Environment Open School of the city. The paper showed the importance of the use of Environmental Legislation as an additional resource for environmental education, hardly used at schools in general. |

The paper showed the importance of the use of Environmental Legislation as an additional resource for environmental education, hardly used at schools in general.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo discutir alguns termos relacionados à Legislação Ambiental aplicada ao Ensino de Geografia aos alunos da primeira série do Ensino Médio da escola Estadual Cleophânia Galvão da Silva no município de Assis SP, utilizando-se da situação ambiental relacionada a áreas de APP's urbanas localizadas no entorno da unidade escolar. Para isto trabalhou-se com a nascente do córrego Fortuninha localizada no Parque municipal João Domingos Coelho. Utilizando-se de recursos como carta topográfica e imagens de satélite foi realizado o levantamento prévio de informações relacionadas ao local juntamente com os alunos, apresentação de slides sobre o histórico de ocupação do entorno e a legislação ambiental, além de palestras com a Polícia Ambiental e com funcionários do Parque em questão. Os alunos fizeram visita de campo à nascente estudada onde puderam observar que o maior impacto não se deve exclusivamente a localização deste, e sim à antropização do entorno, o que acarreta em grande quantidade de escoamento de água pluvial advinda de vários bairros próximos e, por conseqüência, grande quantidade de lixo na área da nascente. No retorno à sala de aula, os alunos puderam relacionar as informações trabalhadas anteriormente com as observações de campo. Assim sendo, como resultado final os educandos elaboraram painéis requerendo medidas de intervenção junto aos órgãos responsáveis, sendo que estes painéis foram apresentados a Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente e encaminhados para exposição na Escola Aberta de Meio Ambiente do município.
