Resumo: The historical scenario of Brazil, with regard to the development of the national industry, is not one of the most stimulating, the country has not yet consolidated itself as an industrial power in the face of the disparities found between the levels of manufacturing competitiveness in the global scope. In this sense, the proposed work aims to present a satisfactory solution for a machining industry that has, in its productive body, the process of preparation of raw material. With this, possible solutions for problems such as the long downtime for feeding raw materials and machine setup are added. Thus, the mechanical and pneumatic design of a raw material feeder for a three-axis CNC machining center, established here, was developed, first, by choosing the actuator responsible for tightening the pneumatic vise, since the lack of tightening of the same or an excessive tightening could cause unfavorable effects for the machined part, thus, the component DNCT-125-300-PPV-A was selected. This component would allow an adequate tightening pressure and a satisfactory operating condition. In a second step, the definition of an actuator responsible for moving the machined part was also necessary, since it would need to be guided so that it would not flex during its performance. The FESTO DLGF-KF-20-800-PPSA actuator was therefore able to minimize the effects of bending by presenting a peculiarity of its composition due to the presence of auxiliary rods. In parallel to this, the selection of a third actuator responsible for supporting the weight of the machined part and the last one, which overcame the static friction force and moved the raw material under specific conditions, was done through the FESTO DSNU-20 actuators -50-PA and FESTO CDC-25-200-AP. Finally, the choice of valves that corresponded to the movement of all the actuators defined here demanded important attention so that, thus, the system would function properly and satisfy all the proposed automation. As the pressure regulating valve, the FESTO LRMA-M5-QS-6 was chosen for the activation of the pneumatic circuit sequence, the FESTO Trigger valve L-3-M5 and, for the identification of the actuator limit switch, the valve chosen was the FESTO K-3- M5 button. In this way, the project developed and described in this document was able mainly to optimize raw material feeding operations in order to minimize operator idleness and reduce possible injuries caused by repetitive effort

Nesse sentido, o trabalho proposto visa apresentar uma solução satisfatória para uma indústria de usinagem que possui, em seu corpo produtivo, o processo de preparação de matéria-prima. Com isso, são adjuntas soluções possíveis para problemas como o grande tempo de parada para a alimentação de matéria prima e setup da máquina. Assim, o projeto mecânico e pneumático de um alimentador de matéria-prima para um centro de usinagem CNC três eixos, aqui estabelecido, desenvolveu-se, primeiramente, pela escolha do atuador responsável pelo aperto da morsa pneumática, uma vez que a falta de aperto da mesma ou um aperto excessivo poderiam ocasionar efeitos desfavoráveis para a peça usinada, assim, selecionou-se o componente DNCT-125-300-PPV-A este componente possibilitaria uma pressão de aperto adequada e uma condição satisfatória de operação. Em um segundo momento, a definição de um atuador responsável pela movimentação da peça usinada também se fez necessária, uma vez que este precisaria ser guiado para que não flexionasse durante sua atuação. O atuador FESTO DLGF-KF-20-800-PPSA era capaz, portanto, de minimizar os efeitos de flexão ao apresentar uma peculiaridade de sua composição pela presença de hastes auxiliares. Paralelamente a isso, a seleção de um terceiro atuador responsável por sustentar o peso da peça usinada e de um último, que vencesse a força de atrito estático e movimentasse a matéria-prima em condições específicas, deu-se através dos atuadores FESTO DSNU-20-50- PA e FESTO CDC-25-200-A-P. Por fim, a escolha das válvulas que correspondessem ao movimento de todos os atuadores aqui definidos demandou importante atenção para que, assim, o sistema funcionasse de maneira adequada e satisfizesse toda a automação proposta. Como válvula reguladora de pressão foi escolhida a FESTO LRMA-M5-QS-6, para o acionamento da sequência do circuito pneumático, a FESTO Válvula gatilho L-3-M5 e, para a identificação do fim de curso do atuador, a válvula escolhida foi a de botão FESTO K-3- M5.
