Resumo: The present Work of Conclusion of Course is proposed to analyze the homonymous tragedies of Aeschylus and Lucius Acius Seneca whose title is: Agamemnon. Presented in 458 BC, the Esquilian drama is part of a trilogy called Oresteia, which also includes the pieces Libation Bearers and Eumenides. It is a play that has been acclaimed throughout Antiquity and has served as a parameter for many later authors of the hellenic playwright. Already the tragedy of Seneca was written between the years of 40 and 65 AD, and although composed especially for recitations, but that came to modernity with intriguing questions of composition. Thus, the present work is dedicated to analyzing some passages that correspond to a direct dialogue between the Greek and Roman traditions, from the concept of emulation (aemulatio). For the ancient critics, it was not enough for the author to imitate a work for it to be worthy of honor, the writer should try to be equal to his predecessor. In this way, although many scholars question the sources of inspiration of the roman author, others refute esquilian emulation and there is a considerable temporal distance between the two authors, a fact that is made visible by the change of thought in the two periods, the research seeks, from the classical myth of the family of the Atridas, to show that there are countless elements that deserve attention and, in fact, bring the two dramas closer together
