Nikola Testla was one of the incredible cientist on history. His inventions and findings like AC system and the wireless transmition changed science and society on late XIX century. Although his contributions to science (and his ideas) are daily present on everyone's life, his name is poorly known. To contribute to this issue, this work aim to tell Nikola Tesla's life history, showing childhood facts, academic life, works and his personallity to understand what influenced himand how he became a great inventor. This study was based on a bibliographic research, allowed through informational acquisition by articles published on cientific periodics and literature, analising and selecting the published material concerned. The bibliographic research aims to explain a problem using teoretical references published on documents. (CERVO e BERVIAN, 2002, pág. 65). Quoting Marconi; Lakatos (2009), this kind of research gives to the researcher the capacity to considerand organize the published informations of the proposed issue, and on this way, show to the reader the informations got on the research
