Avaliação da percepção de acadêmicos de odontologia sobre a participação no Programa de Atenção Odontológica à Gestante da FOA-UNESP

Resumo: | The Pregnant Women Dental Care Program is developed in the city’s Health Basic Units (HBU) and in Araçatuba School of Dentistry (UNESP), involving pregnant women, professors, graduated and post-graduated students, providing the interaction between graduation and post-graduation; between university, the health services and the community. It integrates education, research and extension, benefiting all the involved segments. The participant students develop promotion and prevention actions with the pregnant women in 11 city's HBU and dental treatment in the FOA-UNESP pregnant woman clinic, contemplating the integral attention to the health. With the objective of evaluating the academics perception about the participation in the Program, it was applied a questionnaire containing 12 multiple choices and discursive questions regarding the service. The data were processed, being used the software Epi Info for the statistical analysis. The discursive questions were described through the qualitative technique Analyzes of Content. Among the 27 participant academics, 24 answered to the questionnaire. About the reason that made them participate in the Program, 33.33% mentioned the search for new knowledge and 25% the contact with the pregnant women. Questioned about the contribution in the professional and personal formation, 50% mentioned the knowledge increase, followed by a better relationship with the patients (29.17%) and larger experience in the treatment (12.50%). In relation to the difficulty in the themes involving the pregnant woman care, 50% related the drug therapy, the invasive clinical procedures (22.70%) and the baby dental care (9.10%). Out of the total, 75% marked their participation as fully satisfactory and 25% as partially satisfactory. The contact with the pregnant women and the possibility of actuation in the HBU was some of the positive items pointed out by the students. Using the qualitative technique of words association, semantic units were emphasized in student’s answers, related to the feeling which the Program woke up in the students, to the educational and social aspects. The obtained results suggested an effective participation of the students in the Program, in a conscious and active way, demonstrating that the developed actions are reaching their objectives in promoting the health education to the pregnant women, besides qualifying the students for the attendance of this special group. |

Integra la enseñanza, la pesquisa y la extensión, beneficiando a todos los segmentos comprometidos. Los alumnos participantes desarrollan acciones de promoción y prevención con las grávidas en las 11 UBS de la municipalidad y tratamiento odontológico en la clínica especializada de la FOA-UNESP, contemplando de ese modo la atención integral a la salud. Con el objetivo de evaluar la percepción de los académicos sobre la participación del programa, fue aplicado un cuestionario con 12 preguntas abiertas y cerradas referentes al programa. Los datos fueron procesados gracias a la utilización del software Epi Info para el análisis estadístico. Las cuestiones discursivas fueron descritas a través de una técnica cualitativa del análisis de contenido. Entre los 27 académicos participantes, 24 respondieron el cuestionario. En cuanto a la justificativa de su participación en el programa, 33,33% relataron la búsqueda por nuevos conocimientos y 25% el contacto con las grávidas. Interrogados sobre la formación profesional y personal, 50% declararon el aumento de conocimiento, seguido por una mejoría en el relacionamiento con los pacientes (29,17%) y mayor experiencia en el tratamiento (12,50%). En relación a la dificultad en torno a la atención de la mujer grávida, 50% relacionaron la prescripción medicamentosa, los procedimientos clínicos arrolladores (22,70%) y los cuidados con el bebé (9,10%). Del total, 75% señalaron como plenamente satisfactoria su participación y 25% como parcialmente satisfactoria. El contacto con las grávidas y las posibilidades de actuación en las UBS fueron algunos de los puntos destacados por los alumnos. Fue utilizada la técnica cualitativa de asociación de palabras, sobresalieron unidades semánticas relacionadas al sentimiento despertado, en los alumnos, por el programa, en la perspectiva de la educación y del carácter social. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron una efectiva participación de los alumnos en el Programa, de forma consciente y activa, demostrando que las acciones desarrolladas están alcanzando sus objetivos al promover la educación en la salud de las mujeres grávidas, además de capacitar a los alumnos para dar atención a este grupo especial.O Programa de Atenção Odontológica à Gestante é desenvolvido nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBS) do município e na Faculdade de Odontologia (UNESP) de Araçatuba, envolvendo gestantes, docentes, acadêmicos e pós-graduandos, e visa proporcionar a interação entre graduação e pós-graduação; entre universidade, os serviços de saúde e comunidade. Quanto ao motivo que os fizeram participar do Programa, 33,33% relataram a busca por novos conhecimentos e 25% o contato com as gestantes. Questionados sobre a contribuição na formação profissional e pessoal, 50% citaram o aumento de conhecimento, seguido por um melhor relacionamento com as pacientes (29,17%) e maior experiência no tratamento (12,50%). Em relação à dificuldade nos temas envolvendo o atendimento à gestante, 50% relacionaram a prescrição medicamentosa, os procedimentos clínicos invasivos (22,70%) e os cuidados com o bebê (9,10%). Do total, 75% assinalaram a sua participação como plenamente satisfatória e 25% como parcialmente satisfatória. O contato com as gestantes e possibilidades de atuação nas UBS foram alguns dos pontos positivos ressaltados pelos alunos. Utilizando-se a técnica qualitativa de associação de palavras, foram destacadas unidades semânticas relacionadas ao sentimento que o Programa despertou nos alunos, aos aspectos educativos e de caráter social.
