Resumo: | Beef catle reproductive performance is under the interference of several factors among which those related to physiology , pathology , genetics , nutrition and management of health - livestock herds , which directly or indirectly may affect the embryo , fetus and reproductive tract of females . The purpose of this study was to establish in recipient embryos (n=235), if and in some extent, the response to synchronization protocols hormone, pregnancy and embryonic loss rates were negatively affected due to the finding of reproductive diseases serumpositivity, of cortisol and P4 serum levels and of ambient and rectal temperatures and air relative humidity; it was also evaluated the CL volume and its relation to P4 production. Brucellosis, leptospirosis, bovine viral diarrhea (BVD), infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) and neosporosis seropositivity rates were 2.89% (n=7), 54.47% (n=128), 43.83% (n=98), 74.04% (n=174) and 63.82% (n=150), respectively. Correlations of leptospirosis and neosporosis with responsive cows to protocols and of brucelosis and IBR with embryonic loss rate were all statistically significant (p<0.05). Pregnant and non- pregnant recipient cows cortisol and P4 respective serum levels (17.24±7.59, 13.58±6.41; 17.78±5.54, 14.15±7.16) did not differ statistically (p>0,05), but were positively correlated (p<0,05), thus this cortisol serum level, presumably, did not interfere with recipient cows responsiveness to the protocols, but in groups Resp.P. and N.Resp.P. their concentrations differed significantly (p<0,05). Regarding the VCL and the concentration of P4 , no difference was found statistically significant (p>0,05) between the mean values. For all cases studied, only correlation was observed between the amount of CL and P4 production (p < 0,05) in group small. In relation to environmental temperatures, rectal and relative humidity values in averages were 30.07°C , 39.38°C and 69.23, respectively. Was ... |
