Vivendo nos interstícios do Cerrado: encurralados entre o agronegócio e Unidades de Conservação

This research talks about theoretical and empiric elements to comprehend the agroextrativista system linked by traditionals communities from savannah. in Chapada Gaúcha, located in a small geographic area in Januária- MG and its role in preserving the environment, being the extractivism of native fruits like option for income generation and in socio-cultural terms to those communities. For the achievement of the proposed goals, we implemented a bibliographic review, data entry in Agricultural and Demographic surveys, such as interviews with 42 extractive people, people from favelas (Dimorphandra mollis), others from favela and pequi (Caryocar brasiliense Camb), representatives linked to Instituto Estadual de Floresta, presidents of associations of the studied communities, presidents and technical people of Cooperativa Regional de Produtores Agrissilviextrativistas Sertão Veredas (CoopSertão). Developing the research, we realized that the resistance of the traditional communities from município de Chapada Gaúcha happens in a low way related to the contradictions of the new force that they are submitted with the territorialização the agribusiness after 1970 and with the creation of Conservation Unit after middle 1990, giving origin of an unstable situations and insecurity associated to the soil access, to the field and to the natural ressources. This new social-environmental context obliges the agroextrativistas, small squatters to fence their soil in small Glebes in a way that, nowadays, there are not so many areas in common. The reason is, on the one hand, the agribusiness force is linked the eucalyptus production, pinus, soy and seeds of capim is gradually removing the territories of common use among rural families in traditional communities in the municipality of Chapada Gaúcha...
