The main objective of this study is to evaluate the results, typologies, guidance materials and online platforms used by the Citizen Science program of the Budiões Project, as well as analyze possible limitations and difficulties faced by the project. The methodology presented here for the evaluation of typologies was proposed based on the study carried out by Wigging (2011) where action, conservation, investigation, virtual and education are the premises to define the typologies present in the project. Regarding motivational values, the analysis was based on the theory of Baston et al. (2003) on four motivational principles that lead society to participate in citizen science projects, namely: selfishness, altruism, collectivism and principlism. an educational website and quality indicators. Finally, in an interview with the citizen science coordinator of the Budiões Project, the necessary data were made available to understand which guidance materials were provided to volunteer employees. The results found were based on the participation of 19 citizen scientists who answered a form about the values ​​that motivated them to participate in the citizen science program, then, after analyzing the data, it was possible to indicate that the participation starts from issues related to selfishness as well as altruism and collectivism. The analysis of the limitations and difficulties of the project also departed from these responses, which showed a greater participation of professional scientists rather than citizens outside the academic realm. Finally, the idea of ​​collective, participatory and inclusive citizen science is embedded within the Budiões Project and works effectively covering young, adult, academic, scientific and non-scientist audiences.
