Resumo: The most common wood sawing process is conventional unfolding, a technique without automation. The present work aimed to study, analyze and evaluate the yield in a sawmill of Pinus sp debris, as well as to quantify the generated residues and the operational efficiency of this process. The case study was developed in a sawmill located in the municipality of Itapeva-SP, with the breaking of logs with a mean diameter of 27 cm. After processing it was possible to calculate the yield from the volume of logs and lumber. The yield of 53.23% was close to the minimum indicated in the literature. The quantification of sawdust residues including costanera and refills totaled 55.18% of a log, when analyzing the influence of the cut thickness there was a reduction of 3.5% of total sawdust residues and a use of 0.0815 m³. In the production flow the average operational efficiency obtained was 5,1547 m³/ worker / shift, considered a good performance consistent with the literature

O presente trabalho objetivou estudar, analisar e avaliar o rendimento em uma serraria de desdobro de Pinus sp, assim como quantificar os resíduos gerados e a eficiência operacional deste processo. O estudo de caso foi desenvolvido em uma serraria localizada no município de Itapeva-SP, com o desdobro de toras de diâmetro médio de 27 cm. Após processamento foi possível calcular o rendimento a partir do volume de toras e de madeira serrada. O rendimento de 53,23% ficou próximo do mínimo indicado na literatura. A quantificação de resíduos de serragem incluindo costaneiras e refilos totalizou 55,18 % de uma tora, ao ser analisado a influência da espessura de corte houve uma redução de 3,5 % do total de resíduos de serragem e um aproveitamento de 0,0815 m3 de tora.
