Despite the excellent results obtained in the protocol developed in patients with good bone quality and quantity, unfavorable clinical conditions, such as posterior areas of the maxilla, grafted areas, patients with systemic diseases such as diabetes, osteoporosis and who have poor bone quality and quantity, can influence the success of implant rehabilitation. The aim of this study is to evaluate the bone / implant interface after installation of commercially pure titanium implants (cpTi) with machined surface with and without deposition of CaP by the method similar to biomimetic in standardized model in rat tibia through histometric analysis . One hundred and twenty eight commercially pure titanium implants with two different surfaces (the machined surface and surface modified calcium phosphate-based) were installed in the rat tibia. Euthanasia was performed at 7, 15, 30 and 40 days. Histological analysis in the periods studied showed that bone repair periimplantar in GFO group with a progressive increase in corticalization the bone / implant interface in all the corresponding spaces the turns of the implants, the GUS group, we observed a delay in the bone repair process in medullary region. It was possible to conclude that the surface treated with calcium phosphate could improve peri-implant bone healing in titanium implants installed in the tibia of rats
