Resumo: Nowadays, prejudice is still a topic very discussed, since it can be frequently founded in society. In sports, it can be seen in different ways, as being gender difference one of the most relevant, because sports are marked by major distinctions among sports, which should be mostly practiced by men or women. This study aims was to verify relevant aspects among prejudice about gender differences in sport, with athletes who participate in sports predominantly practiced by the other gender. As methodological procedure was adopted the qualitative research, documental and bibliographic, using papers published in online journal, news in electronic portals, magazines, books, newspapers and movies. Therefore, we conclude that the prejudice mistakenly created by the society we live in, added to social features, makes us judge and misunderstand untraditional circumstances, by naming the sports modalities and who is able to practice them

No esporte, também se faz presente, manifestando-se de diversas maneiras, sendo a diferença de gêneros uma das mais relevante a ser citada, uma vez que o âmbito esportivo é marcado por grandes distinções entre modalidades, que devem ser predominantemente praticadas por homens ou mulheres. O objetivo do trabalho foi verificar aspectos relevantes a respeito do preconceito sobre a diferença de gênero no âmbito esportivo, em relação aos atletas que participam de modalidades predominantemente praticadas pelo outro gênero. Como procedimento metodológico foi adotada a pesquisa qualitativa, documental e bibliográfica, utilizando artigos publicados em periódico online, revistas, reportagens em portais eletrônicos, livros, jornais e filmes.
