Resumo: The hyperadrenocorticism (HAC) is an endocrine disease associated with the excess of endogenous or exogenous glucocorticoids. The excess in hormone production causes a multitude of clinical signs and laboratory changes. This endocrinopathy, can be classified as adrenal-dependent, pituitary-dependent, paraneoplastic or iatrogenic. The treatment can be performed by pharmacological control, surgical correction, or a combination of both, depending on the HAC origin. Without treatment, HAC can cause progressive conditions that can be fatal. HAC commonly affects the liver, kidneys, and the immune, musculoskeletal, respiratory, vascular, and nervous systems. The aim of this study is report a case of a male dog breed teckel, 10 years of age affected by adrenal-dependent HAC due to adenoma in the left adrenal gland.
