Resumo: The absence of the ear corresponds to a significant cosmetic problem and can be caused by congenital malformation, resulting from surgery for tumor removal, or have accidental causes. A simple method to retain auricular prostheses is the fixation with adhesives, but these may cause local irritation and chromatic alteration of dentures. The installation of implants for craniofacial reconstructions promote retention and stability of the prosthesis, comfort and safety to patients. The purpose of this study was to present a case of rehabilitation of patients crippled by installing auricular prostheses retained by osseointegrated implants. The patient was referred to the installation of two implants in the mastoid region. These implants were joined by a slash and the restraint used was the type clip. Auricular prosthesis was made of medical silicone, pigment according to the patient's skin tone, and associated with restraint. The rehabilitation was satisfactory in terms of functional and aesthetic, enabling the patient to return to social life and regain his lost self-esteem

Um método simples para reter próteses auriculares consiste na fixação com adesivos, mas estes podem causar irritação local e alteração cromática das próteses. A instalação de implantes para reconstruções craniofaciais promovem retenção e estabilidade das próteses, conforto e segurança ao paciente. A proposta deste estudo foi apresentar um caso clínico de reabilitação de paciente mutilado por meio da instalação de prótese auricular retida por implante osseointegrado. O paciente foi submetido à instalação de dois implantes na região mastóidea. Estes implantes foram unidos por uma barra e o sistema de retenção utilizado foi do tipo clip. Foi confeccionada uma prótese auricular com silicone de uso médico, pigmentada de acordo com o tom de pele do paciente, e associada ao sistema de retenção.
