Resumo: The purpose of this study was to gather reports of humanized births, those performed at home and those performed by caesarean section, exploring how the prenatal period and the time of delivery itself were, in relation to the orientation of the pregnant woman, the parturient' choices and situations in which obstetric violence occurred. From the reports, concrete data were pointed out, as well as expert opinions on the subject, in order to reflect on the moment of childbirth, how the pregnant women deal with it and the team's accomplishment. The reports were published on a website called In the Light of Childbirth: Stories, Thoughts and Facts in Obstetrics (www.luzdoparto.com), targeting women of reproductive age who are or intend to be mothers. It was possible to visualize, with this study, the scenario of the parturients; in addition, reflect and understand real experiences as illustrations of research numbers

A partir dos relatos, foram reunidos dados concretos, assim como opiniões de especialistas acerca do tema, a fim de refletir sobre o momento do parto, como as gestantes lidam com o mesmo e a equipe de realização atua.
