Resumo: | Forestry roads are important routes of access to forests, serving to facilitate traffic from workers, vehicles and tractors necessary for deployment, protection, harvesting and transport of forestry products. The sediments carried to waterways represent environmental impacts on natural resources. To identify the road networks and the amount of ridges in the drainage system, we used the computer program SIG-GRASS. The ridge can be a control feature or mitigation of erosion on forest roads. Thus, the objective of this study was to propose a theoretical model of distance between ridges for the topographic factor LS equal to 1.According to the results, in order to keep the topographical factor of LS equal to 1 in forestry roads with a greidemenor of 3.0% and that variously greides 3.0 to 4.8%, 4.8 to 5.6%, 5.6 to 6.1%, 6.1 to 6.4%, 6.4 to 6.8%, 6.8 to 7.4% and 7.4 to 8.1%; the distance between ridges should be 600 m, 150 m, 90 m, 70 m, 60 m, 50 m, 40 m and 30 m, respectively. The application of the theoretical model for distance between ridges allows for the proper sizing of the ridges needed to control or mitigate the risk of erosion on unpaved forest roads. |
