Resumo: The effects of phosphorus and dolomitic lime applications on the stacked wood volume, dry wood weight and form, bark and stacking factors of Eucaluptusqrandis Hill ex Maiden trees are presented. The rates of phosphorus (0 kg, 200 kg and 400 kg pp/ha) and dolomitic lime (0 t, 2 t and 4 t/ha] were combined in a randomised block design arranged in a factorial way (3 x 3) with three replications. OnDecember 9, 1980, the seedlings were planted on a Quartzpsamment soil on a 3 xl, S m spacing and the trees were felled after 7, 5 years. There was a linear effect of the lime application on the stacked wood and wood weight. The 2 t/ha oflime resulted in 225 m3/ha of stacked wood and 56 t/ha of wood, respectively 24 %and 31 %greater than the yield obtained without lime. A linear effect of phosphorus on the bark factor was showedby means of a smallerbark percentage presented in the trees fertilised with 400 kg P20/ha when compared with those not fertilised. © 1993 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
