Having a broader view of our patients is key to understanding and providing better treatment and care for all. To do so, a study is needed based on human development and the circumstances that may influence the behavior of each individual during childhood. The purpose of the following work is of gathering articles and scientific studies published on the subject, so that we can discuss the possible influences of childhood behavioral patterns on adult behavioral patterns. Our brains are sculpted by our childhood experiences. Mistreatment and abuse during adolescence, chisels a mental model that promotes confronting adversity. However this comes at the expense of deep and permanent wounds caused by stress. The Dentist plays an important role in the prevention and identification of signs of violence. It has been observed that parents willing to face painful memories associated with past traumatic experiences are less likely to reproduce the trauma. Although the rights of children and adolescents exist, they are often violated by their parents or guardians for various reasons. These include societal pressures, economic hardship, lack of education, and lack of orientation and culture. Child abuse can have a major influence on an adult's behavior, development, mental, and physical health
