The area of oncology is the medical specialty that most closely means seeking the perceived quality of life (QL), since the increase in survival does not necessarily entail better quality of life. Between the malignant tumors that affects various organs, those located in the head and neck affect significantly the QL of the pacients. The malignant tumors of the head and neck affect directly the people, it alters your identity leaving exposed physical multilation in the face. Furthermore, there are observed psycological alterations arising not only from those diegnosed of cancer, but also from the toxity of one's own treatment. This way, the avaliation of the QL has been widely used, making one of the fundamental tools in the indentification of the neccesidies and limitations of the pacients submitted to these treatments, especially in the psycological area. This work are avaliated articles about the theme QL involving patientes with cancer of the head and neck. Although the questionare are based on treatments carried out in American instutions, complaints are usually around the oral dysfunctions resulting from radiotherapy
