Resumo: | The paper presents a proposal to improve some activities in the Supply Chain department using Lean Manufacturing tools. Among the tools which used are: DMAIC Cycle, KCA (Kaizen Circle Activity), Just-In-Time, Muda’s Analysis, 5W1H, 5 Why Analysis, Brainstorming, VOC (Voice of the Customer), SIPOC, Flowchart and Ishikawa Diagrams. The application of such of these tools shows how someone could conduct a project within industry. And then getting positive results and benefits. The principal results achieved of these projects are: Cost reduction, Better management of stock, Process simplification and Lead time reduction. This paper describes three projects which were used Lean Manufacturing tools in some activities in the Supply Chain department. The first project is about management of the expired materials in the external warehouse, it brings as result a reduction of cost to stock. The second project is about the simplification of a complex process to issue the Certificate of Analyze. It brings as result a reduction of the lead time. The third project is about reduction of the inventory divergence. It brings as result a reduction of divergence between system stock and physical stock in the warehouse. The conclusion from of these projects is that the good handling of Lean Manufacturing tools brings benefits and reductions of the many wastes. And these benefits can be extended not only to the company but also to the clients |
