The psychosomatic spectrum disorders are quite varied, ranging from somatization disorder, persistent painful or conversive (existing categories until the DSM-IV), the chronic pain related to psychological etiology or not; to an anxiousdepressive symptomatology (therefore psychological distress) due to organic conditions as sequels of stroke, myocardial infarction, chronic renal dysfunction. This work is pointing a significant difficulty in diagnosis and understanding these clients by health professionals, including by psychologists. Despite the high prevalence of psychosomatic disturbance in clinical populations, psychosomatic is still little discussed in academic sphere. There is a gap between theorizations and suffering host practices that is expressed by the body plan. We concluded by the importance of building a psychosomatic praxis guided by a differentiated and comprehensive clinical listening device in order to extract the essential complaint (besides the obvious physical symptom) and its unconscious aspects and thereafter, propose a more effective therapeutic approach . Thus, it is possible to infer about the real pain that these people carry, which makes them wander in a medical specialty to another, in singular and quiet journey.
