The regional context of formation of the Paulista Peripheral Depression and Cuestas Basálticas are very complex. Ab'Saber (1969) states that due to the marginal denudation process, gradually emerging a large peripheral subsequent depression, which produced a second landing sediment, developing the relief front cuestiforme inwards. The cuestas are called by Troppmair (2000) as a step in the landscape of geomorphology, locating regionally in the SW-NE direction of the state, representing an area of 14,000 km2. Like this, the Paulista Peripheral Depression has a well eroded relief and few forming a corrugated areas (Troppmair, 2000). Thus, this research aimed to study the morphostructural elements that make up the river basin head, whose sources are in the front and immediate reverse of the cuesta, wich had the purpose to assess the tectonic influences on regional relief. To achieve this purpose, mappings were held at ArcGis program, which will be based on the topographic maps of the IBGE (1:50.000), wich assisted in the preparation of drainage density maps, depth, drainage, slope and lineaments. From the mapping, evaluation of the data was made so that to identify the tectonic influences in the study area and to aid in a better understanding of the configuration of the current relief
