Concern and reflections about quality of basic education in Brazil lead the creation of strategies to improve school performance in different grades. Among those strategies, the creation of educational games has been revealed to be a resource that teachers may use for the development of abilities and to permit the appropriation of concepts, including Botany, by students of primary and secondary school. This study aimed to produce an alternative, creative and innovative educational material, for scientific divulgation of botany content to the public school. The presentation of the game in two different proportions allows it to be used on a bench or on a table in the classroom or in larger spaces, as on the floor where the students themselves can be the pins. The former method has been proved to be more interesting and dynamic than the conventional method. The game "Investigating Brazilian Biomes" proved to be dynamic, playful and efficient for the Botany content appropriation , which can be used by science and biology teachers, adapting to their needs, once new questions can be added or replace the existing ones.
