Resumo: This article aims to highlight some of the major influences on union structure and the work that emerged in the wake of productive restructuring and globalization of production. The possibility of outsourcing of production and the changes made in its control, more and more glued to the movements of high finance, opened spaces for the dispersion of production. In this international movement, immigrants are unprotected and subject to the conditions of a transnational market work. We describe the case of the United States, where resistance movement has been started.

We describe the case of the United States, where resistance movement has been started.O artigo objetiva colocar em destaque algumas influências sobre a estrutura sindical e sobre o perfil do trabalho surgidas com a reestruturação produtiva e a mundialização da produção. A possibilidade de subcontratação da produção e as mudanças introduzidas no controle dos mercados, cada vez mais colados aos movimentos das altas finanças, abriram espaços para a dispersão da produção. Neste movimento internacional, os imigrantes encontram-se desprotegidos e sujeitos às condições de um mercado transnacional de trabalho, em que a formação de redes étnicas de trabalho ladeia o crescimento de preconceitos e de racismos.
