Caracterização do padrão estrutural da Formação Irati (Permiano) aplicada à migração de hidrocarbonetos na Bacia do Paraná, região de Rio Claro e Ipeúna (SP)

Resumo: The region of Pitanga Structural High has been the target of numerous geological surveys since 1920, due to its complex structural settings and its relation to the natural occurrences of oil and gas described in the region since the end of XIX century. This context affects the paleozoic sequences of the Parana Basin (Itarare Group, Tatuí, Irati and Corumbataí formations), as well as the Mesozoic (Pirambóia and Botucatu formations, and the basic intrusions related to the Serra Geral Formation) and Cenozoic (Rio Claro Formation), with special emphasis on the pirobetuminous shales of Irati formation, which present one of the highest organic contents ever described on Earth, even reaching 23% in the southern portions of the basin (MILANI, 2007). This condition reaffirms its importance as a potential source rock and the needs of reaching a complete understanding of its relations to the tectonic events of Pitanga Structural High, as well as the role of ruptile structures on hydrocarbon migration in the Irati-Pirambóia petroleum system, an atypical system in which organic maturation depends on the heat provided by igneous intrusions. Considering the mentioned parameters, the following questions were proposed in this study: are there any preferential trends for hydrocarbon migration on Irati Formation or is it a random process? If it is not, then what are the trend(s) main features and how can it relate with the geological evolution of the area? Tal contexto associa-se às sequências paleozoicas (Grupo Itararé, formações Tatuí, Irati e Corumbataí), mesozoicas (formações Pirambóia, Botucatu e intrusivas básicas correlatas da Formação Serra Geral) e cenozoicas (Formação Rio Claro) da Bacia do Paraná, com destaque para os folhelhos pirobetuminosos da Formação Irati que apresentam conteúdo orgânico dos mais elevados já registrados no planeta, alcançando até 23% na porção sul da bacia (MILANI, 2007). Essa condição ressalta sua importância como potencial rocha geradora, fazendo-se necessário o completo entendimento de suas relações com os eventos tectônicos no Alto Estrutural de Pitanga e o papel das estruturas rúpteis na migração de hidrocarbonetos no sistema petrolífero Irati-Pirambóia, um sistema atípico, cuja maturação orgânica depende do calor fornecido pelas intrusivas. Com base nos parâmetros mencionados, foram propostas as seguintes questões: existem direções preferenciais de percolação de hidrocarbonetos na Formação Irati ou esta se dá de forma aleatória? Se existirem, quais suas principais características e o que representam na evolução geológica local?
