The family is considered the first social context of the life of a human, being its main point of support and reference in the first years of life, even when related to the initiation and practice of sports, the same one of the main interference factors for the beginning, involvement and permanence in sport modality and practice, interfering directly and indirectly. With this, the aim of this study is to carry out a data survey to analyze the consequences of external influences, this relating to the participation of parents and family members during sports practice. The work adopted the bibliographic review method for selection and analysis of the material used in this study, making use of platforms and search engines to filter the content found. Therefore, the participation of parents is of extreme importance so that their children feel motivated in the sports practice, as much in the involvement as in the performance of the same ones. In order for parents to be able to influence positively, appropriate follow-up is necessary, using strategies so that young people do not suffer from negative emotional changes before, during and after practice, impairing their involvement in the modality and in several practical aspects, such as not learning new skills, resulting in demotivation for continuity in sports practice. This is because one of the main factors for motivation is the level of satisfaction that the practice provides, allowing for fun and happiness, further arousing interest in the sport.
