Climate change and its environmental, economic, and social consequences have been slowly recognized since the Paris Agreement. In addition, the challenge of climate risks is still poorly understood by the market. Against this background, the Financial Stability Board, a global organization, created in 2015 a task force, called Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), which aims to develop, in a standardized manner, recommendations to facilitate the dissemination of financial information related to climate issues by companies worldwide. From the analysis of the official recommendations of the TCFD and good practices found in the literature and in the market it was possible to carry out the case study with Suzano SA, official supporter company of TCFD and representative of Brazilian agribusiness that has proved to be a good example for the sector by harnessing the mapping and monitoring of risks, such as climate risks, in the Company's results, example of the targets linked to variable remuneration. It can be concluded that initiatives such as TCFD, although not mandatory, it is gaining more and more adherents between governments and companies and contributes in a remarkable way to the world.
