Distribution centers are essential in the logistics process of large retail companies. Not only important for their agility and economy, the DCs contribute to solving logistical bottlenecks, especially in terms of delivery time and storage costs, a differential in their operations, increasing competitiveness. This work addresses the definition of the ideal location of a distribution center in the northwest of the state of São Paulo, allowing a better strategy investment for company managers in the region. Mathematical methods adapted from Ballou (2005) and Pinto (2016) were used, with the aid of data from government agencies such as the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, such as its population and gross domestic product (GDP). In addition, through an analysis of the research carried out on the Google Forms platform, it was possible to define the profiles of e-commerce buyers, highlighting which factors are decisive when defining the chosen online store and the frequency of purchases. It was established, using the Exact Center of Gravity method, that the city of Balsamo would be the ideal location for a distribution center in the northwest of the state of São Paulo and that the factors of delivery time and freight cost are the factors that most influence customers in their final decision.
