Resumo: The personality of an individual is the result of a complex influences network from several independent factors such as biological and psychological constitution, besides the influences of social, environmental and cultural environment in which they live. It is the integration of these parts interacting form the whole. In the sport scope, the diagnosis of individual and group profiles is considered crucial, since the definition, identification and measurement of athletes behaviors functionality are extremely important in sports psychology. This profile is necessary to investigate some aspects of personality such as concentration, fear, anxiety, stress, emotional reactions before, during and after competitions, leadership and social interaction. The objective of this work is that you can identify relevant issues regarding the personality and the type of sport (individual or collective). This proposal was based on theoretical studies pointing to proposals and typological expectations, so this bibliographic work will serve as guidance for future studies. Ela é a integração dessas partes que interagindo formam o todo. No âmbito esportivo, o diagnóstico de perfis individuais e grupais é considerado de fundamental importância, já que a definição, identificação e medição da funcionalidade de comportamentos de atletas são de extrema importância na psicologia do esporte. Neste perfil é necessário investigar alguns aspectos da personalidade, como concentração, medo, ansiedade, estresse, reações emocionais antes, durante e após as competições, liderança e interação social. O objetivo deste trabalho é que seja possível identificar questões relevantes com relação a personalidade e o tipo da modalidade esportiva (individual ou coletiva). Tal proposta foi baseada em estudos teóricos apontando para propostas e expectativas tipológicas, de modo que este trabalho bibliográfico sirva de orientação para futuros estudos.
