Resumo: This essay main objective is to present how Brazil's protests were covered by the national media written during the month of June, 2013. To understand what happened in 2013, it's necessary to comprehend previous protests around the world since 1988 in response to financial policies adopted by organizations and the political situation lived by some countries. Recent protests are related to civil demands for more political participation, better life conditions and punishment for financial institutions responsible for the financial crisis - of 2008 - that has fallen upon countries located in the Americas, EU and Middle East. The main hypothesis is to comprehend how media groups resort to sources - besides these groups beliefs and alignments - and if the rules of objectivity proposed by Philip Meyer are related to the process of writing a factual report

Para entender os movimentos ocorridos em 2013, é necessário compreender o histórico de protestos ao redor do mundo, desenrolando-se desde 1988, como reflexo das políticas financeiras adotadas por organizações e pela situação política vivida. Os protestos mais recentes são ligados a demandas por mais participação democrática, melhores condições de vida, e punições das instituições financeiras responsáveis pela crise financeira que atingiu países, mais especificamente aqueles localizados nas Américas, Europa e Oriente Médio.
