Resumo: People with Parkinson's disease (PD) have difficulties in controlling posture. Thus, it becomes important to understand the mechanisms by which this deficit happens. For this, a method of decomposition of the center of pressure was used in which the central commands (rambling) and peripheral (trembling) of the postural control in people with PD are pointed out. Therefore, the objective of the study was to analyze and compare the postural control of patients with PD and neurologically healthy individuals (control group - GC) through the rambling and trembling trajectory. For this, 24 individuals participated in the study. The postural evaluation was performed on a force platform, with frequency of acquisition in 100 Hz. Participants were evaluated in bipodal support, instructed to remain in upright static posture for 3 attempts of 1 minute. The three components of force and moments of force in the anteroposterior, mid-lateral and vertical directions were collected. To define the rambling and trembling trajectories, the forces applied on the platform were analyzed through a program written in MATLAB® language. For the postural evaluation, the statistical analysis was performed by one-way ANOVAs with repeated measures (group factor - DP x GC). As indicated by the main effect, the parameters of the rambling and trembling trajectories were analyzed independently by means of one-way ANOVAs with repeated measures for the group with the highest values. The level of significance was maintained at 0.05 for all analyzes. Also, the elderly with PD presented higher values of displacement (p <0.01) and velocity (p <0.01) for rambling and RMS (p <0.004), displacement (p <0.01) 0.006) for trembling in the medial-lateral direction compared to GC. In addition, comparing the rambling and trembling trajectories of the DP group... (Complete abstract electronic acess below)
