Resumo: Bahia grass (Paspalum notatum) has been gaining space for use on roadsides, under power grid, pipelines and slopes due to rusticity, that is, its good adaptation to edaphoclimatic conditions. Due to its excessive growth, this becomes a hindrance in the lawn mowing management becoming difficult depending on the location of the grass, thus increasing costs. In view of this, it is necessary to adopt other lawn mowing management strategies, such as Chemical, using sub-doses of herbicides as growth regulators. Among the alternatives are herbicides with the active product Glyphosate, such as Roundup, and Imazapir, such as Arsenal. The aim of this study was to evaluate the growth of bahia grass after application of sub-doses of herbicides. The experimente was conducted on Campus II of the Faculty of Engineering of Ilha Solteira, in full sunlight, from January 2021 to April 2021. Monthly grass height, leaf chlorophyll index, plant cover, fresh and dry mass were analyzed nutritional analysis in the last month, in order to verify the nutrition of the turf after months os installation of tratments. It was observed that, 90 days after application, for glyphosate there was control of grass growth (height), not affecting the chlorophyll and green cover factors. Imazapyr, even in sub-dose, caused the death of potato grass due to phytotoxicity.
