This study used the integration of remote sensing and GIS and land use information of the Boa Vista Stream watershed, with the monitoring of water quality in it, which is located in the municipality of Ipaussu-SP. Aimed to verify the association of water quality in the municipal lake Joseph Nicholas with their uses in the watershed, there were temporal assessments of water to obtain your quality score, classifying them according to physical (temperature, turbidity, color and electrical conductivity), chemical (dissolved oxygen, hydrogen potential (pH), hardness, ammonia, iron, orthophosphate and chloride) and biological (presence of algae, fish, aquatic plants). Analyses were conducted during the period April 27, 2015 the April 10, 2016 (covering the four seasons) with data collection and monthly evaluations. Continuous monitoring has generated a significant amount of data, which then organized were synthesized and analyzed. It was the results that Headboard Watershed Boa Vista Stream covers 453.3 hectares, the agricultural and urban uses, that stand out on the roof of the study area, thus influencing the quality of water, although the lake also receives rainwater effluents from the other uses. The altitude of the area has a range of 50 meters from the lower quota for most. It was found that about 40% (13.7 hectares) of APP of bodies of water are occupied by urban areas (infrastructure, buildings) which can compromise the quality and sustainable use of water and its availability in the long run.
