Resumo: | The practice of reusing wastewater is one important tool for irrigated agriculture, as this water has high concentrations of essential nutrients for plants. The objective of this study was to evaluate whether irrigation using treated sewage and the use of different levels of fertilization would affect the yield of bean plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). A completely randomized block design was used with five levels of fertilization (100, 75, 50, 25 and 0% recommended dose) with four replicates, amounting to 20 experimental plots in a system of furrow irrigation. The following parameters were used to evaluate the effect of the treatments: plant height, yield, number of pods, number of grains per pod, fresh and dry matter of plants and weight of 100 grains. Based on yield data and use of regression analysis, a higher yield was observed for 55.87 % fertilizer recommendations. Conversely, high doses of fertilization (75 and 100%) reduced yield, as a result of excessive nutrients. The results showed that using 50% fertilizer recommendation, or an even lower percentage (25%), together with the use of waste water allows high bean yield. |
