In the following work, the reader will be able to find a cluster of theories and explanations on several subjects related to matter, with focus on the study of plasma. As a review work, it is intended to guide readers to work more consistent and seen today, as the most correct for science and business. The work is divided into four chapters, each of which has its own characteristic, making it a broad text with the potential to reach several areas of knowledge. For the initial chapters, the theories treated will be used of theoretical books in the areas of the physics of the states of the matter and mainly of the plasma, dedicating brief comments and explanations on these subjects. The sequence of the work will be devoted to the application of plasma to the industry, which focuses on reviewing articles, which bring the importance of studying and knowing the fourth state of matter, with a particular application, a process of burning organic materials, Or, plasma pyrolysis. Finally, this work seeks to explain some playful issues related to plasma teaching, both at high school and higher levels, reviewing and proposing experiments that can be performed at home and others that can be carried out in conjunction with research groups or universities. We have, in this work, a text with points already researched, with the perspective of guiding the reader to several other works and more specific articles of the area that one wishes to study
