This work presents a study of the feasibility on exploitation of groundwater in crystalline aquifers of old Archean-Proterozoic and Neoproterozoic granitoid, which together make up the geological foundation of the Central Ribeira Belt covering the southeast portion of the state of São Paulo, the study was carried out in the city of Louveira - SP. The applied method consists in the definition of water potential, obtained from geological structures, from the main features that make up the rocks, both locally as well as macro, highlighting the major faults and shear zones regional reactivated by tectonic or not, which contribute to the delimitation of geomorphic domains and groundwater flow, together data from drilling wells registered in responsible and or visited on private properties. Data such as flow, depth, fracture families, history, location and use, characterized the nature of the information acquired. All data were cross-referenced, associated with structures and interpreted based on the knowledge gathered in similar works. The results were promising for a future exploration of underground aquifers in the minicipality, by defining a structural pattern strongly associated with good discharge quality, which allows the definition of targets for drilling with optimal results. The results showed that the different lithotypes and the degree of imtemperism are directly associated to the flow quality, with the shale being the most efficient, due to the high degree of weathering present, but only the families with NE orientation and NW trim presented the highest flow rates, varying between 17m³/hour and 25m³/hour, while the other families did not present satisfactory results, with adequate flow only for the local and residential supply.
