Resumo: The present work describes the feminine social history in the Italian literature. It will be possible from the analyze of female characters from two books, A woman by the writer Sibilla Aleramo and Frantumi di Arcobaleno by Liala, with the objective of showing the construction and characterization of female figures in the books. Sibilla Aleramo with her autobiographical work, published in 1906, played an important role in the struggle for women's rights in Italy. With a description of her life and the time she lived, it is possible to gain insight into today's Italian society, such as the role of women. Liala belongs to the literary genre called romanzo rosa, a pink literature, written by women for other women. With her work it will be possible to observe the construction of a feminine ideal and about the woman figure in a different time from Sibilla Aleramo. The basis of the research is the study by the writer Simone de Beauvoir to understand how the roles of daughter, wife and mother were change over the years in Italy.

Terá como recorte as personagens femininas de dois livros, Uma Mulher da escritora Sibilla Aleramo e Frantumi di Arcobaleno da autora Liala, sendo o objetivo mostrar a construção e caracterização das figuras femininas nas obras. Sibilla Aleramo com sua obra autobiográfica, publicada em 1906, teve um papel de importância na luta pelos direitos femininos na Itália. Com a descrição de sua vida e de sua época, é possível obter uma visão da sociedade italiana, assim como o papel da mulher. Já Liala pertence ao gênero literário chamado romanzo rosa, a literatura rosa, escrita de mulheres para outras mulheres. Com sua obra será possível observar a construção de um ideal feminino e, também, a figura da mulher em uma época diferente de Sibilla Aleramo.
