Caracterização de vazões em compartimentos da Bacia hidrográfica do Rio Paraíba do Sul

This paper aims the description of the pluviometric and fluviometric data in compartments of the Rio Paraíba do Sul basin, from the São Paulo State area to its transposition in Santa Cecília. This water basin is extremely important because it supplies cities in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais. In the analyzed area, the basin passes through cities like: São Luiz do Paraitinga, Paraibuna, Santa Branca, Jacareí, Santa Branca, Jacareí, Igaratá, São José dos Campos, Caçapava, Taubaté, Pindamonhangaba, Guaratinguetá, Lorena, Queluz, Itatiaia, Resende, Barra Mansa, among others. In this study, led by the UNESP's Geology professor, by UNESP's Hidrology professor, by an Agronomic Engineer and by a UNESP's Civil Engineering Student, we decided to focus on the State of São Paulo and on the state of Rio de Janeiro, to the transposition of the Waters in the Piraí River, dividing the area in 5 subparts that will be detailed later. The analysis of the pluviometric and fluviometric data was made in this region, also studying the quantitative and qualitative availability of the water resources. This characterization was made based on the databases available on the internet, in Hidroweb, ONS, DAEE and SIRGH portals, which provided historical pluviometric and fluviometric data in different stations and in different cities through the basin. Analyzing parameters such as Q7,10, Q95, graphics relating flow rates and rain, and linear graphics to analyze the tendencies, it was possible to make a material that describes some important aspects of the basin, and this can be used to future projects and analysis of this hydrologic region, that lacks of study and base researches. Also it was made a correlation between the rainfall and flow rates data with the infiltration of the area
