Resumo: Throughfall and interception were measured and estimated, respectively, from February to April, in a restored area by Tibouchina mutabilis Cogn. in Serra do Mar State Park - Cunha, São Paulo. Ten pluviometers were installed in two parcels, with terrain inclination of 20° and 30°. In order to measure gross precipitation an additional pluviometer was installed in the meteorological station 100 meters away from the parcels. Stemflow was not measured. Gross precipitation, throughfall and interception totalized 351,6 mm, 276,1 mm and 75,5 mm, respectively. Therefore, 21,47% of gross precipitation was intercepted and 78,53% dropped on the reforestation floor as throughfall. Simple linear regressions calculated showed a good fit, as revealed by their R2.of approximately 0.80 for interception and 0.99 for throughfall, based on gross precipitation

Para medir a precipitação no aberto um pluviômetro foi alocado na estação meteorológica do parque, a 100 m das parcelas. O escoamento pelo tronco não foi medido. A precipitação no aberto, precipitação interna média e interceptação média totalizaram 351,5 mm, 276,1 mm e 75,5 mm, respectivamente. Portanto, 21,47% da precipitação no aberto foram interceptados e 78,53% chegaram ao piso do reflorestamento como precipitação interna.
