Resumo: The large volume of waste generated by construction and demolition has become increasingly a matter of concern to society. The handling and disposal of RCD's to gain prominence as over the years intensified the requirements for a sustainable world. This paper presents the positive and negative factors that the management of construction and demolition waste can bring in the municipality of Guaratinguetá-SP. This study examines the methods used in waste management since he was not done any treatment to the present day. Presents comparative tables on the feasibility of installing a central crushing of inert waste and implementation of an inert waste landfill in the municipality of Guaratinguetá and Cachoeira Paulista. And yet the work being done by the city of Guaratinguetá reuse the material in class A in paving roads

O manejo e disposição final dos RCD’s ganham destaque a medida que ao passar dos anos intensificam-se as exigências para um mundo sustentável. Este trabalho apresenta os fatores positivos e negativos que a gestão dos resíduos da construção e demolição podem trazer no município de Guaratinguetá-SP. Este estudo analisa os métodos utilizados na gestão de resíduos desde quando não era feito nenhum tipo de tratamento até os dias atuais. Apresenta em quadros comparativos a viabilidade da implantação de uma central de britagem de resíduos inertes e implantação de um aterro de resíduos inertes no município de Guaratinguetá e de Cachoeira Paulista.
