Análise granulométrica, de suscetibilidade magnética e de paleoambiente através de sedimentos do tipo loess do Quaternário, seção Remizovka, Sul do Cazaquistão

Resumo: The Central Asia region has an important role in the global climate influence due to its large territorial extensions, in this way continentality provides changes on a global scale. Geological events started about 13 million years ago, in the Quaternary, began to shape present-day Asia, which provided the opportune environment, conducive to the deposition and transport of loess, dry and cold, at the foot of the previously uplifted mountains. These aeolian deposits carry with them a valuable record of the climatic changes that occurred from their formation to their deposition. The present study aims to expand the understanding of the loess-paleoenvironment correlation, from the determination of the granulometry variation suffered by the loess type sediments belonging to the Remizovka section located in southeastern Kazakhstan, allowing a better understanding of the climatic variation that occurred in the place, the which by extension would also provide input to help understand current climate systems. The analysis was obtained by integrating the granulometry found in the deposits with magnetic susceptibility data, which quantifies the magnetism to which the sediment was subjected, since the size of the grains must be inversely proportional to the magnetic susceptibility due to the amount of sedimentation occurring in the place, being thus possible to analyze in a more precise way in which environment the sediments in question were deposited. Together with these analyses, a comparison is made with previously determined stratigraphic columns with the objective of a more accurate interpretation of the paleoenvironment in which the loess was deposited, which clearly occurred in glacial periods that are intercalated by interglacial periods, in which pedogenesis occurs. , along the stratigraphic column well marked by both magnetic susceptibility and granulometry.

Eventos geológicos iniciados há cerca de 13 milhões de anos, no Quaternário, começaram a moldar a Ásia atual, o que proporcionou o ambiente oportuno, propício para a deposição e transporte do loess, seco e frio, no sopé das montanhas previamente soerguidas. Esses depósitos eólicos carregam consigo um valioso registro das mudanças climáticas ocorridas desde sua formação até a deposição. O presente estudo possui como objetivo ampliar o entendimento da correlação loess-paleoambiente, a partir da determinação da variação de granulometria sofrida pelos sedimentos do tipo loess pertencentes à seção Remizovka localizada no sudeste do Cazaquistão, permitindo compreender melhor a variação climática ocorrida no local, o que por extensão também ofereceria subsídios para ajudar na compreensão dos sistemas climáticos atuais. A análise foi obtida integrando a granulometria encontrada nos depósitos com dados de suscetibilidade magnética, que quantifica o magnetismo ao qual o sedimento foi submetido, pois o tamanho dos grãos deve ser inversamente proporcional à suscetibilidade magnética por conta da quantidade de sedimentação ocorrida no local, sendo assim possível analisar de uma forma mais precisa em qual ambiente se depositaram os sedimentos em questão.
