Resumo: Corn is a staple food of extreme importance on the national scene, corn production in Brazil contributes about 80% of grain production. Among the cereals grown in Brazil, corn is the most expressive, as it is grown in all regions of the country and has a remarkable diversification of its use.The growth-promoting bacteria, on the other hand, aim to increase productivity without the use of fertilizers, considering that they assist in germination and seedling emergence, in addition to having characteristics such as biological nitrogen fixation and an increase in the root system, its performance can be improved by sterilizing the soil with ozone, which has the capacity to increase soil oxidation and eliminate microorganisms. Thus, the objective of the work was to verify the potential of maize culture inoculated with growth-promoting bacteria in soils sterilized with ozone. The work was carried out in Ilha Solteira - SP, using 8 treatments arranged in a 4x2 factorial, with three replications. The treatments consisted of Azospirillum brasilense, Bacillus subtilis, A. Brasilense + B. subtilis applied via seed and control (without inoculation), threfore the use of growth-promoting bacteria assciated with ozone-sterilized soils incresead the accumulation and absorption of macro and important micronutrients such as potassium, nitrogen and calcium by maize plants, all of these nutrients of extreme importance for the development of the crop in view of plant growth, greater resistance to disease anda grain growth.
